Friday February 1, 2002 The opening pondering of the new version. I've got good things to mention, and not-so-good things to mention. First, I'm actually updating this thing again and plan to have that wonderful thing called 'content' this time around! Cool, eh? I got rather bored and dissatisfied with how this site used too look and work so I've re-designed it from scratch and thought out a bit more carefully what I want it to contain. For posterity, the old pages will be kept here somewhere. Now, on to the less cheerful (for some people) news. Yesterday, my counter jumped by an amazing 8 hits. It's amazing because I've had one in the previous 3 months to that, and it was me from a different computer. Silly me, I thought, "Great! People know I exist!" Which can be a bad thing, as it turns out. I woke up this morning and turned on my monitor, and lo-and-behold, MSN Messenger informed me straight away I recieved an E-mail. Then, it did the same about a second and a half later. And again. And again. Ad nauseum. Signing in, I found 2534 kilobytes of mail waiting for me which (excepting one from Hotmail complaining I'd gone grossly over my alloted space) were all from the same source. It seems somebody decided to get playful with some of my statements in my About section. Whoever you are (and I have it narrowed down to a suspect list of maybe 15 people), I hope you're laughing. It'd be a shame if somebody didn't get a kick out of it. |
